‘A Bigger Picture’ Attracts more than Half a Million Visitors

Half a Million People Visit the Royal Academy

Running from 15th May to 9th April the David Hockney exhibition ‘A Bigger Picture’ attracted over half a million people to the Royal Academy on Picadilly in London. This makes the exhibition one of the most successful that the Academy has ever staged. Late night openings were held to ensure that the maximum number of people possible could see the East Yorkshire landscape portrayed in such a great way as David Hockney saw it.

Over 200 paintings will be shown in Bilbao, most of them showing the Yorkshire Wolds. The show in Spain begins May 15th.
