From the moment you turn the corner into the impressive driveway of The Wold Cottage you will know you are in for a special treat, as you start to unwind and leave the pressures of modern life behind you.
You will be greeted by the friendly and enthusiastic owners, Katrina and Derek Gray and crossing the threshold you will enter a world of relaxed elegance.
The Wold Cottage, originally a Georgian city gentleman’s country retreat, sits in beautifully landscaped grounds where fruit and vegetables are grown for the table and woodland provides a haven for wildlife. Perfectly un-spoilt views extend over its own 300 acre farmland to the Yorkshire Wolds beyond. Wold Cottage is an ideal base to stay to visit The Yorkshire Wolds which inspired David Hockney to paint ‘The Bigger Picture’.
Regular finalists in the prestigious White Rose Awards, Katrina and Derek have a special eye for detail in the accommodation as well as in the kitchen, Katrina having featured in BBC TV’s ‘Ready Steady Cook’.
And every room in The Wold Cottage has been lovingly furnished with quality and style to make your stay comfortable and memorable. All of our accommodation now has WIFI (wireless Internet) access.
We offer award winning Bed & Deliciously Yorkshire Breakfast in our Georgian Country House, luxury self catering cottages & peaceful camp site for tourers.
